Its Thursday the thread has started

Hi All,
Carl and I are winding  down our trip. We are planning on leaving on Sunday for the trek home.
But I have to go to my high school reunion first. That is on Saturday in Benton Harbor Mi.
I think I am finally homesick.....I want to see my cats.......I know it will be hot in Florida but Ill just have to think of how cold it was here in chicago and Michigan....Then I dont think Ill mind it so much.
I have a dilema....We are invited to Jareds moms house Liz boyfriend. She invited my sister in law and I dont want to be around her....If she isnt the center of attention she makes an ass out of her self. Sorry I used this language but I dont know how to say it any other way.
So I dont know how to tell my husband and my daughter I am not going with unless my sister in law doesnt go. I did tell CArl I didnt want him to ask her to go.

Any suggestions?

i have no suggestions this morning--this event at jared's moms should be about the kids and future family--go and just show her up--she is the ass not you.....be your wonderful self and ignore her- her true colors will come thru...

so today is the last day -this week anyhow--of my early morning ventures...i am pooped.i did absolutely nothing the last two nites after work and today isn't looking much better.

Good morning all.  This is the number one fan of the FIRST PLACE TEXAS RANGERS.  That sounds so good.  Good game last night.

Last night of work coming up tonight.  At least for this week.  Then comes Eddie's tournament.  I am so ready for it.

After the ballgame Friday night (it starts at 6PM), I am taking Mary out to eat.  She wants to go to some place nice, so I guess McDonalds is out.  She wanted to go to Papasitos.  I am not too eager about that, so I mentioned Bobby V's (a sports bar) and she agreed.  We haven't been there in almost a year.  I have a coupon for buy one get one.  Shoot.  Plus they have TVs with the ball games on.  YES!!!

As I take my pills this morning and think about the food I need and what I may spend my time on, it is good to have this place to come to!

I work in the office this morning and this evening is a VBS planning meeting.  Yes, I know it is late, but the other church who was supposed to head it up dropped the ball, so we are going to try to get the community VBS together by the 1st week of August.  Thank goodness I am not in charge!

I just started reading the bible again........haven't gotten to Proverbs yet.....still in Exodus.
I'm actually reading it in a strange way.........I'm using a reference book that shows 4 translations (NKJV, NASV, NIV, and I can't remember the 4th one) all on the same page.  I'm intrigued as to why there are so many translations and trying to understand the differences and if they change the message at all. 

Guess I'm trying to fill a void in my spiritual side lately....

Morning everyone!

Carla:  That's a tough call........I guess I'd personally go.  Don't give the sister in law so much power that she forces you to stay home and miss a family event.  I'd go but stay on the other side of the house/yard....keep busy with the kids or something and just try to ignore her.   just my 2 cents.

Well it's raining it's pouring the old man is snoring.........
No bike ride for me this morning it is pouring like a monsoon out there and lots of thunder/lightening!  My poor dog (my baby) was crying in his cage so I let him out early and now he is calm laying on the floor by my feet.......that''s only after spending 15 mins jumping all over me. He was never afraid of thunder before, I don't know what happened to him.

I was going to run to the stores for some early shopping after my bike ride but since it's so nasty out I think I'll make it a stay at home day.

OH the big news around here......... THE MICROWAVE IS UP!!!!  I got to use it for the first time yesterday.  sad that this was the big excitement in my life yesterday...........LOL

I am hoping to get into the garage and start doing some organizing today, what I'm really hoping is I can get some help in there.  If it gets too warm in there I'll turn my attention to the bedroom closet.....I have SO MUCH clothing to donate I just need to sort them.  I literally moved with 3 large suitcases and a wardrobe box full of clothes that are all way too big and I cannot take them in.  I'm going to donate a bunch of household stuff too......we have way too much kitchen stuff.....too many pots, pans, dishes, and other kitchen tools (how many colanders does one household need) so I'm going to get rid of it all and hopefully it will help someone how is trying to get back on their feet.

I never saw it before but once she pointed it on the profile picture I could sort of see it. 

I'm not insulted at all....I'd rather look like Sarah Palin than Mama Cass.......
